Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) Technologies
Hello everyone, this week's assignment involved exploring how Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies can be used in language teaching. AR allows for the addition of digital content (images, videos, text, etc.) to the real world. VR, on the other hand, transports students into a completely virtual environment, offering experiences similar to real life. These two technologies make learning in language classes more engaging. AR and VR have many advantages in language classrooms. They increase student motivation, provide environments similar to real-life situations, and encourage active participation. Students not only learn the language but also have the opportunity to use it. However, there are also some disadvantages. Technical problems, lack of equipment, and internet connection issues may occur. In this assignment, my friends and I aimed to have students use the target language by using visual and virtual content. I believe that AR and VR content will be used more in my classes in the future because these technologies have the potential to make language learning more effective and enjoyable.
This is our assignment.
